    Helping a future Math and Computing scientist (February 2022)

    Abhay Pratap aspires to become a scientist in Maths and computing. After having won a silver honor in International Youth Mathematics Competition (IYMC), he is currently preparing for an MSc programme. With this grant Abhay will be purchasing a laptop to take online classes.


  • Neelika Chakrabarti

    Workshops to provide free therapy and mental health resources/workshops (February 2022)

    Neelika Chakrabarti runs Citta – a mental health initiative along with her day job. With the grant, she is going to run offline workshops to provide free therapy and mental health resources/workshops to students especially from under-privileged and marginalized communities.


  • Samruddhi Ramesh Deshmukh

    pilot project to synthesize a common medicinal plant (February 2022)

    Samruddhi Ramesh Deshmukh is a final year MBBS student. She designed a pilot project using a commonly available medicinal plant and will be using the grant money to purchase machinery that’ll help synthesize the medicinal plant for market consumption.


  • Rohit

    Teaching tribal women how to make hand sanitizer from mahua plant. (January 2022)

    Rohit is from Maharastra and wants to teach tribal women how to make hand sanitizer from mahua plant. Right now, spirit from the plant is drunk as alcohol. He will help teach how to make a higher value product (sanitizer) out of it.

  • Adwait

    Helping in economics research (January 2022)

    Adwait is an aspiring economist. His long-term goal is to work upon a treatise on modern economics in the Indian context, developing “Indian School of Thought” for economics. This grant will help him fund his research (travel and living expenses). https://adwaitr.substack.com


  • Mohammad Qureshi

    Training young lawyers to improve the quality of life for Kashmiris (January 2022)

    Mohammad Qureshi is a final year law student from Kashmir. He has formed a young lawyers group to help do pro-bono legal work in Kashmir. This grant will help him conduct moot-court competitions to help train the young lawyers to improve the quality of life for Kashmiris


  • Kaira and Hansa

    Helping with an economics project (January 2022)

    Kaira and Hansa are pursuing economics degrees. This grant will enable them to do a project to estimate willingness-to-pay for menstrual cups amongst

    Indian women. These cups are more sustainable than pads/tampons but not very popular. This research will figure out why.


  • Maryam

    Components for a project (January 2022)

    Maryam is a high school student from Ernakulum, Kerla. She got into the semi-final round of HSBC science innovation contest (top 200 out of 500 entries). She will use this grant to purchase components (such as GPS module and fingerprint sensor) for her project.


  • Maxito

    Helping a young music composer (January 2022)

    Maxito is a young music composer. Right now he records songs using the phone mic but this grant of Rs. 50k will help him buy equipment to take his compositions to next level and make a living out of this.

  • Rohit Prashanth Vasishta

    Course on citizenship for underprivileged children (December 2021)
